Russell Sessions
Our latest recordings as the reformed Made of People - featuring Brittany Fiore on vocals,  Patrick Working on guitar and Justin Pohlsander on drums. Recorded/mixed/engineered by Russell Muller of Tarktones (www.tarktones.com), whom also donated complementary bass guitar tracks.

Jeremy Sessions
Finally in the studio, these songs represent our first serious recordings as Made of People. Produced by Jeremy Dobbins, a former student at the Conservatory For Recording Arts, (also the location of the studio where these were recorded).  Enjoy!

Chemical Smile (Acoustic) [4:49] Download
Acoustic tones outline dark and powerful vocals.

Reckless Day [4:25] Download
Soft Stratocaster tones behind bittersweet vocal melodies, polished with swelling guitar harmonies and lead lines. Lyrically derived of guilt-ridden grievance and the pain of death. Musically based off of one of Patrick's earlier midis, 'Faith and Fear' (look for it in the Midis download section).

Monster [5:53] Download
A melodramatic foray into dark, moody rock. Gritty rhythms and lead textures surround dejected vocals, singing about the facade of suicidal personalities. Reminiscent of more ambient 70's rock.

Beta Songs
Here are some tunes we've been working with. These are experimental and sometimes poorly produced... but you love it.
All songs on this page are by Patrick Working for Made of People unless otherwise stated.

Undertow Featuring Lead Vocals [3:24]  Download
A prettified re-recording of Lake of Pity, featuring most of the band and a faked ‘studio production’. Represents about how we sounded about 4 or 5 years ago...
.

Avalon [1:06]  Download
It could happen to you. A sleepless night, a acoustic guitar, a microphone, a soundcard with a record input. Put your hands together for Avalon, another entry into my acoustic endeavors. Don't mind the awkwardly distorted almost-vocals, it's just a placeholder until I have the ability to sing well or get a member of the band with good pipes.

Ode to Pants [1:07]  Download
Here's to you, Tyler. An odd little song I did in the middle of the night. Listen closely for the Juicy Juice jug gallop.

Moo (Tupperware) [0:47] Download
This should give you nightmares. If it doesn't, you're probably already dead.

Tentative Title [0:47] Download
An acoustic rhythm with an acoustic solo melody line. Definitely a candidate for a bigger production with the rest of the band. Expect to hear further developments on this tune.

Lost Cause [2:43] Download
Originally intended to be the theme of Samurai Ninja Turds (an animated series that has yet to be conceived), this song took on a life of it's own when my musically inclined pal Picklehammer told me to put a guitar solo over top of the initial chord progression. A few takes later, some funky effects, and viola! Here is your song, madam.

Lake of  Pity by Made of People [3:38] Download
A 60's sounding rocker. Recorded live with MoP in the band room, it's the most accurate (though not the best) example of what we do.

Star [2:20] Download
Depressing Nirvana-esc singer/songwriter ditty. Slow, depressing and awful to some... I made it, so I happen to like it :) judge for yourself.

Cassidy [1:33] Download
The softer side to Lake of Pity. Before Lake of Pity was what it is, it was this little Pink Floyd-like number.

Children of the Ashes [0:50] Download
Angry rocker. Catchy as hell and a deserved title track.

Glass Ceiling [1:48] Download
Not as complete as the MIDI version, but a rough cut to a promising track. Soft strat tones.

Blue Crystal [0:36] Download
A fun and short punk-like song.

Midi Tunes
Midi was created in the 80's as a universal language for digital instruments. I (Patrick) discovered composing in 1999, and through this video gamey sound engine I began my musical obsession. I have come to terms with the limitations of Midi, and have recently moved on to 'real' instruments. Still, Midi is a fun little way to push your notes. Enjoy my small selection of tunes.

Melody 8 [1:01] Download
One of my attempted classical-sounding works. A Simple, short bass and melody line.

The Look [1:38] Download
A romantic tune. Soft and sweet.

Moses on Ice [2:34] Download
Soft and droning. Listen for the bizarrely cool melody at the end.

Thorn [3:53] Download
A melodic, mysterious sounding track. A favorite to the small in number but proud MoP fans.

Faith and Fear [4:06] Download
Starts off mellow, then kicks in with a rockin' part with power chords and a little soloing, topped off with some orchestrated drones. My favorite MoP song to date.

Harmonic Goats [3:15] Download
An old, dark sounding number. The odd name comes from the midi instrumentation resembling the wailing of goats (if you're crazy like us).

I've Never Seen the River [2:06] Download
Airy drones mixed with bells on speed.

Rockin' Destiny [1:30] Download
A little metal piece. Short, loud and sweet.

F the Rain [1:30] Download
Short and mean track with a memorable melody. Doesn't outstay it's welcome.

Glass Ceiling [2:44] Download
A soft, atmospheric piece.

Softly Burning [3:02] Download
A very old song out of my collection. Depressing synth drones and piano melody.

Kyle's Melody [1:25] Download
Dramatic progression then a fun little jam. Good stuff.
